Yearly, 1 out of 5 students change their study program because reality does not meet their expectations. Currently, future students might have the opportunity to visit the university only if they can afford it, watch a webinar, base their study choice on written descriptions, or watch a promotional video. However, none of these alternatives provide students with a full picture, leading to many students making an uninformed decision. Especially when the costs for studying are high and limited student spots are available, both the universities and the students want to reduce the risk of wrong decision making.
Visita, a custom interactive (virtual) environment allows (inter)national future students to explore if their university and study program of interest meets their expectations. Thus, it helps them to improve their decision making about their study choice and future. This will allow both the student and university to save money and attract more dedicated students. Visita is an interactive game in which future students can walk through the university, watch introductory video lectures as if they were sitting in a lecture room, familiarize themselves with all study and sport facilities, and even get a sneak peak of the student life.
